About The project

We seek to create an anonymous platform for GLBT persons to share their stories with the world. We welcome submissions from anyone of any sexual orientation currently in the military, civilian, military discharged under Don't Ask, Don't Tell, or friends and family of someone who was. Our main goal is to show the paradox that Don't Ask, Don't Tell creates for service members who pledge their lives to preserving freedom in this country, but who have to remain anonymous and give up their own freedoms in order to do so. We would like for you to submit a photo of yourself wearing your uniform and a mask without your name tape showing, and in front of a plain background and tell your story without using any names or locations in order to preserve your anonymity. While the main goal of this project is to show silently serving homosexuals, we also welcome submissions from those of you who may be uncomfortable showing your masked face, but would like to share your story anyway.

Feel free to contact us and send your story to unmaskus@hushmail.com
